Animais silvestres são apreendidos em Osasco
Na terça-feira, 28/7, a Polícia Militar Ambiental do 3º Pelotão de Barueri, juntamente com o apoio da equipe do Departamento de Fauna e Bem-Estar Animal, vinculado à Secretaria de Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos, apreendeu 16 aves silvestres em situação de maus tratos e 13 galos que eram utilizados para rinha.
No local foram identificados diversos elementos que comprovam a promoção de briga de galo, dentre eles um ringue utilizado para estimular o enfretamento entre as aves, medicamentos e outros itens.
Também participaram da ação a Perícia Científica que contribuiu com a investigação. O infrator foi conduzido à delegacia pelas equipes da Polícia Ambiental – soldados Carvalho, Priscila e Eric e cabo Perez – e irá responder criminalmente por maus tratos de animais silvestres e domésticos.
O Departamento de Fauna e Bem-estar Animal atua na fiscalização de denúncias. As situações de maus tratos de animais e abandono são crimes gravíssimos e podem ser denunciados à Central 156.
