Prefeitura de Santana de Parnaíba oferece milhares de absorventes para adolescentes da rede pública de ensino
O projeto “As Vozes das Adolescentes” é desenvolvido pela Empodera em parceria com a Rise Up, Cummins Brasil e Fundação Tênis, e conta com o apoio da Secretaria de Educação de Santana de Parnaíba, que tem o objetivo de desenvolver a liderança de meninas adolescentes e promover a participação juvenil através de estratégias para a incidência política.
E na última semana foi realizado um evento referente a esse projeto, no Complexo da Educação, onde foram entregues milhares de pacotes de absorventes para todas as alunas adolescentes da rede pública de ensino, doados por um Residencial de Alphaville, com o intuito de ajudar o grupo femenino em cuidados íntimos durante a menstruação e contribuir com a saúde pública.
Segundo o Fundo das Nações Unidas para a Infância (Unicef), a pobreza menstrual é caracterizada pela falta de acesso a recursos, infraestrutura e informações. No Brasil mais de 4 milhões de meninas não têm acesso a itens mínimos de cuidados menstruais nas escolas. Com base nesse retrato social, a prefeitura tem se mobilizado para mudar esse cenário oferecendo produtos de higiene menstrual em todos os colégios municipais, infraestrutura sanitária completa, além de abordar o tema com as alunas e proporcionar uma educação de qualidade.
